When you think of someone who embodies the spirit of our business, Megan Rolland immediately comes to mind. Megan plays a pivotal role in driving client success and innovation, managing client relationships while spearheading product development. Prior to Offshore Payroll, Megan leveraged over 7 years of HR expertise in Jersey, London, Luxembourg, and Australia, where she implemented a cloud-based HRIS for a 700-user organisation as her final project.
Megan’s passion is centred around the blend of technology and business, making her an invaluable asset to our Offshore Payroll clients. With a BSc in Biology and as an Associate Member of CIPP and CIPD, Megan’s technical skills are matched only by her deep understanding of the payroll process, ensuring that even the most complex projects are delivered with clarity and ease.
Megan is not just an exceptional talent; she is a driving force behind our company. Her energy and dedication inspire everyone around her, whether she is coordinating a challenging project or squeezing in a Muay Thai session. Outside the office, Megan loves to explore the outdoors with her young family or brave a cold-water dip.
We are incredibly fortunate to have Megan as part of the Offshore Payroll team and fully appreciate her unique blend of skills and passions.

Why cloud-based payroll protects your business resilience
Business preparedness, emergency and continuity are all subjects that most business owners have discussed during their annual strategy days. Fortunately, most have never had to implement these plans – until March 2020.
We all know that COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world of work forever. Homeworking, changes to contracts, government benefits and employee furloughs have all had to be considered and managed.

Local Consortium Acquire Offshore Payroll Limited
A group of local companies have jointly purchased Offshore Payroll Limited (OP). OP is payroll service and software business that specialises in processing for jurisdictions that have unique tax and social rules.
The new owners include; recruitment specialists Rowlands, financial strategists Purpose and technology experts Vertix. Together, the group plans to invest in OP’s team and technology to innovate and develop the existing services.
Managing Director of Rowlands, Jeralie Pallot, commented:
‘We believe that this business is an excellent fit for Rowlands and will enable us to provide new, innovative solutions for our clients as OP evolves. I am particularly excited about the potential that OP has to offer deeper insights for employers and efficiencies gained through integration with accounting systems. We believe that with some investment, this is an incredibly useful tool that we will be able to provide to you..’
Managing Director of Purpose, Luke Smith added:

Over the coming months, OP will begin growing its team and rolling out improvements for existing clients, before embarking on a programme of development.

The CER submissions are quick and simple. Also sending payslips and the staff having their own log in to view older payslips, removing the need to re-supply them with payslips for tax purposes, something I used to get a lot! Good support when needed, helpful videos and links for guidance.
