Offshore Payroll wins UK software award at the BAFTAS

The UK Pay Awards are considered to be the BAFTAS of the payroll industry and there are entries from many national and multi-national businesses to this prestigious industry competition run by PAY Magazine, which is why the ceremony was held at the impressive BAFTA building in Piccadilly, London on the 3rd November 2009.

Offshore Payroll won Payroll Software Provider of the Year (Small Employers) and was up against some major names in the payroll industry. (The Small Employer category is defined as companies with up to 250 employees)

The five judges are leading lights in the industry and they commented, ‘Offshore Payroll scored 9.4 out of 10 when the user vote average was added to the judges' score.’ They went on to say, ‘Offshore Payroll is offering a flexible, cost effective solution, but still taking an innovative approach, for example, in how it stores payroll data across the different legislative jurisdictions it serves.’

The Editor, Cathy Heys, of Pay Magazine said, ‘Offshore Payroll did really well on the user vote - lots of great comments too, a few of which are going in the winners brochure (an insert into the December 2009 magazine).’

One Guernsey client, Marine & General Engineers Ltd, was the focus of a required in-depth case study and their finance director David Coleman said, ‘Offshore Payroll delivered an outstanding solution that not only meets our needs now, but promises further benefits as we move forward together.’

‘Over recent years we have worked hard and made some innovative advances with our Payroll and HR system which has lead to many positive benefits for our clients, so it is very rewarding to receive such a prestigious award,’ said Gary Hill, managing director of Offshore Payroll Ltd.
